Priya Boshoff has been raised in a Vedic family, where music was abundant & a way of life. Singing & chanting of Vedic hymns was a daily occurrence and providing kirtans with her family at various household events, temples & festivals was her prescribed sadhana. The practice of mantra meditation on Japa mala as well as in a congregation, has been the foundation of her life. She continues to hold Mantra Meditation music events within the Yoga community under the banner of "Yoga of Sound"
Her love & passion for connection via the medium of singing, can be felt in her music events.
She has also been trained in classical dance discipline of Bharathanatyam (Natya Yoga), from the age of 6, & has been an active performer for 20 years. She has received various performance recognition awards from the South African College for Bharathnatyam. She has performed on many big stages, including a women's empowerment pageant, in which she won the title of, Mrs India South Africa 2016
Her passion lies in the arts, and she enthusiastically shares her love and connection to singing with those in her circles, also encouraging all to actively partake in the singing experience.
She is fully aware of the effects of the voice and breathing on one’s energy as a form of strength and a subject of healing and is a proponent of this form of lifestyle.
She delivers the mantra meditation sessions either solo, or with the accompaniment of some of the country's leading instrumentalist's, who share an equal passion and vision, bearing in mind that Mantra Music facilitates a spiritually uplifting & engaging experience which is by no means a performance.
